A- Sunday school at Miami FHFMC

Sunday school’s schedule is from 9:00 to 10:30 am every Sunday. And there are several classes in Sunday school at Miami FHFM Church like it’s generally the case in most Christian churches. From the youngest age to young adult age, at Miami FHFMC, classes are mixed in terms of gender. For instance, there is no nursery class per se; however, visitors as well as church members with very young children can assure that, under the leadership of Abbigail Darius, their kids are in good hands with a team of caring youth and adults who are fond of kids like Jesus. Classes like Sarah, Gedeon and Sephora are not mixed in gender, and that allows competition between men and women to be quite exciting. There is a 10-minute pause at the end of Sunday school, which is designed to allow people who want it to enjoy Haitian bread and HOT coffee minutely prepared by our beloved sister Phanord.
Those who are thinking of worshipping with us one of these Sunday mornings, please plan to attend our Sunday school as well when time allows you to.

B- Friday Service-&-Bible study at Miami FHFMC

Each Friday, from 8:00 to 10:00 o’clock pm, we hold a two-hour long service, except the last Friday of the month which is devoted, specially, to spend time reminding members about the importance of participating in Holy Communion on 1st Sunday, maintaining their relationship with God, making new commitments and reminding ourselves of God’s covenant through practicing forgiveness among ourselves and genuine brotherhood and loving in Christ.

Importance of Bible Study:

At Miami Fist Haitian Free Methodist Church, the Bible is believed to be generally the only source of knowledge of how to know and love the Lord and Master Jesus Christ. The believer must get to know Christ very well, and this requires the DAILY intake of knowledge about Christ through the Word of God, which is in essence the mind of Christ. Therefore, the leitmotiv is that believers’ desire for the Truth, the Word of God, must be avid. A Christian must make great effort to obtain the truth in giving the highest priority in his/her life to learning Bible facts and principles. With that said, with the exception of last Friday of the month, Bible study is scheduled to take place every Friday from 9:00 – 10:00 pm, during which time Christians under the leadership of the pastor conducting the teaching, church members are given the unique opportunity to learn the Bible in the practical sense, and everyone is free to ask and answer questions, based not on personal reasoning but on sound biblical references in context, and to contextualize the study in our everyday life and experience. Our Bible study is rooted in our deepest interest to know our Redeemer and Lord more and to emulate Him, by relying on the following verses, to say the least:

John 14: 1-4, & 14
John 14:6 “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man comes unto the Father but by me.”
Matt. 6:28-34
Psalm 119:72 “The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.”
Psalm 119:127, 162.
Prov. 23:23 “Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction and understanding.”
Psalm 86:11 “Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth; unite my heart to fear thy name.”
Luke 21:37-38
Cornelius: Acts 10:30-33
Bereans: Acts 17:10-13
John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loves me not keeps not my sayings; and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father which sent me.”
